Transposes: Blake Pencils page 1: Work-in-Progress Stage 6
Page 1 of Blake's chapter was particularly tricky to compose, and took significantly longer to draw than any other page in the book thus far. This is a breakdown of how it all came together. Stage 6: The "finished" pencils. I did make some digital alterations for the version of this page that appeared on the Beacon Press blog, and for the version that appears in the Transposes preview book (I realized Hopey really needed to be wearing an Ape Sex shirt, so I went back and redid that bit, but in this incarnation she's sporting a Black Flag tee).
