Ah, yes, time for some truly corny jokes, wot wot. Here you go:
And but also, I watched the new She-Ra cartoon on the Netflix after my Twitter timeline became 75% She-Ra by volume. And ya know what, it’s a damn good cartoon.
I fan arted because I decided Peridot from Steven Universe would be made wobbly by Catra:
If you crave further ramblings about character design and cartoons, this public Patreon post shall provide.
Now that Chapter 4 is all wrapped up, I’m posting the art I did to commemorate Valley of the Silk Sky‘s first year. This is going up a day early here because I’ll be out of town on Wednesday (my regular update day) and there’s not really a great way to schedule this post. So:
View it here right now on Studio NDR
OR! It’ll auto-post to Tapastic and Tumblr on Wednesday morning.
I’m very close to finished with Chapter 5. Hoping to wrap up the last of the coloring today. My current thought is to start running Chapter 5 on Feb. 3, though that might get pushed back if Stuff Intervenes (fair warning: Stuff is threatening to Intervene).
Anyway. I also did this Steven Universe fan art of Peridot a couple of weeks ago and am just now getting around to posting it here. It’s also up on the Tumblers if that’s your bag.
The important takeaway here is the Peridot is the best gem.
Page 36 of Valley of the Silk Sky is up, and it is not messing around, I tell you what. Read it here:
I guess I can’t really say anything else about it without spoilerizing, so let us move on to the next thing:
A wee bit of Steven Universe fan art! Like all queer nerds, it seems, I am digging this show, and Peridot is easily my favorite of the gems. (It is not lost on me that she shares some particular personality traits with my own Archer Hewitt of Politically InQueerect fame.)
I guess I just have a thing for cantankerous curmudgeons. As character archetypes go, anyway.
The drawing up for your viewing pleasure on Studio NDR and Tumblr.
Meanwhile, I gotta get back to work on Secret Project X, which I will hopefully be able to reveal to you in short order. Stay chooned.
It’s pretty rare for me to feel motivated to do fan art, but after shotgunning all of Steven Universe while I was sick, I was unable to shake from my mind the image of a mashup between Centipeetle and Lion.
It’s also on Tumblr, if you’re into that sort of thing.
I want a little Centipeetle plushie more than I can say. With eyeball acid squirting action, fun for the whole family, etc etc.
